Set in 1838, the story follows Thomas Hutter, who travels to Transylvania to meet the enigmatic Count Orlok regarding a property transaction. Unbeknownst to Hutter, Orlok is a vampire who becomes infatuated with Hutter's wife, Ellen, leading to a series of horrifying events. Ellen, haunted by disturbing visions, finds herself drawn into a deadly confrontation with the undead count.
